Serving the Dayton region since 1902, the Humane Society of Greater Dayton has worked more than 120 years to support the people and pets in our community. Every year, we help unite thousands of homeless animals with loving forever homes, while championing a vision where every animal is valued and free from suffering. As the only animal welfare agency in the region that tends to a diverse array of animals – from cats and dogs to rabbits, farm animals, reptiles, birds, and more– we are dedicated to the animals in our region. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, they rely solely on the donations of individuals, companies, and grants to fund their programs and services. The newly created Dayton Humane Veterinary Hospital further exemplifies our commitment, to help animals as we provide access to care to the underserved communities in our region.
